The Yadkin County Retired Faculty Personnel has given the Fred C. Hobson Scholarship to 3 college students within the Yadkin County Faculty System. Hobson was the superintendent of Yadkin County Colleges for 32 years and was a giant a part of the group being lively in his church, the Historic Society, and the Council on Growing old. The three scholarship winners this yr are Ruby Nelly Carachure-Arroyo from Starmount Excessive Faculty, Annah Reese Smitherman from Forbush Excessive Faculty and Megan Michelle Wagoner from Yadkin Early Faculty.
Ruby Carachure-Arroyo lives together with her mom, Maria Arroyo, and on Vanhoy Rd. in Yadkinville. Throughout Ruby’s highschool profession, she has accomplished a Profession and Technical Training Internship with the first grade lessons at West Yadkin Elementary Faculty. Whereas in highschool, she has been twin enrolled in three Surry Group Faculty lessons. Two of these lessons have been within the subject of Early Childhood Training. As she has taken these programs and accomplished her internship, she has determined that she desires to pursue a level in Elementary Training. She plans to attend UNC-Charlotte within the fall. She ran monitor and subject in her freshman yr. As well as, she has labored within the meals service trade.
Annah Smitherman lives together with her mother and father, Rodney and Jennifer Smitherman, and on Uninteresting Highway in East Bend. Annah has labored as a babysitter, and within the meals service trade.
